This disk contains a collection of over a hundred articles exploring a wide variety of topics that have amused, interested, concerned, or offended the author. If there is any common theme, it's the author's profound affection and respect for individualism and personal freedom. Most of these articles were originally published in Port Of Call, the Newsletter of Intertel Region VII, during the period between 1994 to 2003. (Intertel is an international Hi-IQ society.) Some of the more serious works explore the nature and functions of intelligence - thinking about thinking. Others explore aspects of human nature, and the group dynamics that have contributed to the creation of our modern industrial civilization. The complexities of the man-machine interface, and the rapid evolution of machine intelligence are also recurrent interests of the author.
