Some Possible Muslim Viewpoints

There are two reasons for this series of essays. One, possibly the most personally important to me, is the fact that Fundamentalist Islam irritates my logical faculty. If you consider the teachings of Mohammed and the actions of the Fundamentalists it is apparent to the logical mind that both cannot be true. They are antithetical to each other. If Mohammed is truly the Prophet of Allah, then the teachings of the ‘Fundamentalists’ are false. If the teachings of the ‘Fundamentalists’ are true then Mohammed is false. This kind of situation irritates the logical faculty. When you see people claiming to be followers of a religion and doing the opposite of what the religion teaches it is irritating.

The political reason for these essays is to provide a rationale for Muslims to fairly reject the Fundamentalist and Terrorist dogmas while maintaining their faith and a real respect for Islam in it’s Golden Age.

I am not a Muslim, but to a degree these essays are written, as much as possible from a Muslim point of view. This means that parts of these essays will offend some Christians, some Jews, some Americans and certainly some Muslim Fundamentalists.

Since the purpose of this section of the book is to demonstrate that Usama bin Laden is wrong, and that his actions and the actions of those like him are an abomination in the eyes of Allah, this section of the book is naturally dedicated to Usama bin Laden.
