Remote System Administration and Tech Support
Core Service
The objective of our core service is to provide those services required to maintain
the functionality of the system as originally constructed and configured by Overall
Technology, in the most efficient and cost effective manner. Maintaining system
compatibility with Overall's test rig(s) will be necessary in order to ensurer that
required services that have been developed and pretested on those test rigs can be
reliably replicated on user machines with minimal additional cost overheads. However,
the need to maintain system level compatibility doesn't extend to the visual aspects of
the user interface. Each user remains free to personalize the "look and feel" of their
own desktops.
On-going background services provided in our core service include log file monitoring,
security and enhancement updates, and on-call tech support (email and phone support may be
limited to prevent abuse).
A limited amount of site-specific customization support is included in our core service,
including periodic adjustments to the following: firewall rules, spamassassin rules,
procmail email sorting rules, adding and/or removing users, changes in attached peripherals
(printers, scanners, etc).
Extra Cost Services
Integration with existing networks, conversion of existing systems, off-site data
backup, website creation and administration (html, Javascript, cgi), mailman email list
setup and administration, set up VPNs between branch offices, user training, custom
programming (Unix scripts, Prolog, C/C++, Pascal),
